This is the fairy village Songwol-dong in Incheon, South Korea. The fairy village is an initiative renovating infrastructure to attract tourists. With vivid drawings on the walls of each household in the village, the appearance of the village Songwol-dong has changed unexpectedly: from a poor, boring place into a fairy paradise.
From Incheon subway station, just walk for 10 minutes, you will encounter a colorful gate of Songwol-dong village. The famous cartoon characters such as Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Bambi are in this village, not only welcoming babies but also adults and couples.
The village is divided into 10 zones, with the first zone extends about 30 meters from the entrance, called “The Street of Dorothy” (The Way of Dorothy). Here, visitors will admire the boy Peter Pan, Tinker Bell fairy, then go to the second zone which is also a famous story – Witches in the village of Oz.
Next is the path for 3 hottest princesses in fairy tales: Snow White, Sleeping Princess and Cinderella. Visitors, especially girls, would love to take photo with these princesses.
The Street of Netherlands (Holland Road) is considered the most beautiful in the spring, when the tulips bloom the sun. There is a high wall of 5m depicting a windmill – the symbol of this country.
